The MAF is an employer-based athletics body, separate from Sri Lanka's national federation. The 41st edition was held at Diyagama Stadium on August 21-23. The release does not name rival companies. CDB claims three team titles and four meet records: Kandhasami Sham (men's novices race walk), Bhakthi Wijesinghe (women's 30+ triple jump), Kamod de Silva (men's championship high jump), and Umaya Rathnayake (women's championship 400m hurdles). Rathnayake also won Best Athlete – Championship Women and Best Athlete – Women, a 'rare double.' Shakila Wijesekara won Best Athlete – Novices Men.
